What is Zigbee?
Zigbee is a wireless protocol used to connect smart devices like lighting, locks and smart plugs to a network. These zigbee mesh networks can then be paired to a hub to connect them to the internet. This allows users to access features using compatible apps and controllers through their smart device.

What is a Zigbee Mesh Network?
Zigbee is a wireless protocol that is able to communicate through multiple wireless points known as nodes. These nodes are able to communicate with each other and form a network much larger than Bluetooth or Wifi. Data transmitted is transferred between devices using the fastest route possible through the mesh network.
What devices can be used with Zigbee?
The makers of Zigbee founded what is known as the ZigBee Alliance in the early 2000s. Companies are able to join this alliance and manufacture ZigBee compatible products. Zigbee manufacturers include the likes of Samsung and Amazon.
