What is the difference between RGB and RGBCW LED Strip
RGB and RGBCW LED strips work by mixing multi coloured diodes to produce a range of single colours. Similar to a TV pixel, RGB LED strips mix red, green and blue to produce a full spectrum of single colours.
Though RGB LED strips are able to produce white there is often interference from the other colours. Because of this, RGB LED strips are often insufficient for installs where a true white is needed.
RGBCW LED strips are manufactured with 4 in 1 LED chips that feature an additional white channel. By simply powering the white channel along the strip can easily produce a white with no interference from other colours.
