LED DALI Dimmer
DALI is a two-way communications protocol used to simplify lighting control in complex lighting installations. A DALI dimmer switch is a product that allows the DALI network to communicate with and control lighting fixtures. By assigning a DALI address to a dimmer it can then receive and decode dimming commands.
DALI lighting control uses an additional low voltage cable run separate to the mains feed for control signals. Once the signal is received the DALI switch dimmer will adjust the output PWM frequency to adjust the brightness of the attached product. DALI systems can also be used with colour changing products like RGBW LED strips alongside single colour products.

Where are DALI dimmers used?
DALI is a hard-wired protocol often used in larger systems where wireless protocols could be less reliable. With a range of 300 Metres, DALI is perfect for commercial projects and large office buildings.
DALI is a lighting industry standard for central control through a single lighting interface. By allowing communication between products from different manufacturers DALI is able to simplify complex lighting systems.
For low voltage products, a DALI dimmer is positioned between the power supply and the product itself to adjust the output PWM. By then assigning a DALI address the controller is able to send signals for dimming control.
