Home automation gateways are the perfect way to create a home management system connecting lights to your smart devices like iPhone, iPad or Apple TV. Adding a 2.4GHz or 433MHz Gateway/RF home automation Hub to your home installation will enable you to control your 2.4GHz or 433MHz Mi-Light / Mi-Boxer LED lighting from your smartphone.

There are several Gateway home automation options for lighting control systems, including a Wireless Gateway or a Wired Gateway (the 433MHz Gateway is wireless only). Both types connect to your router, one type connects wirelessly and the other type through a wired connection.

If you want to control your home automation system locally (within range of your Wi-Fi router) then you can install the wireless gateway. To control from outside your location (even overseas) you will need the wired gateway which connects to your home router using a wired connection.

Home automation further allows you to control your smart lights using voice control. This can be done through third-party speakers such as Amazon Alexa or Google Home.
