PWM & DALI SIGNAL AMPLIFIER/REPEATERS
PWM (pulse width modulation) is a way of controlling LED lighting products.
When controlling a number of LED products using more than one controller there will be a delay between each controller. This causes the LED Lighting connected to each controller to run out of sequence. This effect is worse when running a program such as fading through the colours.

Data repeaters are essentially PWM amplifiers or Data amplifiers, they repeat either a DALI signal or act as a PWM repeater.
PWM Controllers are needed when connecting lots of LED products together. PWM data repeaters copy the signal from the controller so that the connected LED strips are controlled at the same time
DALI data repeaters boost the DALI signal for large installations.

Using data repeaters are an economical way of controlling multiple LEDs as controllers are more expensive products.
Note: It is important when using Data repeaters with DMX that they will not copy high PWM frequencies. For Film and TV projects, multiple DMX decoders should be used.
