LED PIR Switches
Our PIR light switches make switching lights on or off effortless. PIR switches for lights feature a passive infrared sensor that measures changes in infrared light. When it detects a change, paired lighting fixtures are switched on. After a minute of inactivity, the lighting will switch off.
We have a range of PIR sensor light switches including close-up and long-range sensors, ensuring there is the perfect PIR switch for most applications.
Close-up PIR switches detect movement from 1 to 6cm, making these ideal for doors, cabinets or wardrobes. Our long-range sensors however have a much wider detection zone of up to 3m. These are ideal for large areas such as stairs or hallways, particularly in public spaces such as schools.
These PIR light switches have an IP20 non-waterproof rating and are therefore intended for interior lighting. Read "LED Product Filters Explained" for more information on IP ratings. It is recommended that a professional technician install the PIR switch. This will ensure your sensors are installed correctly and work the way they are intended to operate.
