The advantages include straightforward setup, direct smartphone control and strong support across many fixtures and controllers.

Bluetooth is particularly good where installers want to avoid additional wiring and where user access via mobile devices is desirable. Consider range, mesh topology and whether the chosen products support cloud bridging or remote access if you need off site control. Security and firmware update mechanisms are also important, as is ensuring the system supports the number of luminaires and the control features you require.
