DALI is a Digital Addressable Lighting, which controls lighting through a digital signal. It is a lighting industry standard, ensuring that all DALI devices can be connected to the same network despite which manufacturer they are from.
A DALI Driver is a DALI-compatible LED power supply requiring only a DALI input and mains feed to set up. A DALI LED driver simplifies the installation by being directly compatible, negating the need for a separate dimmer. By simply addressing and programming the driver it can be added to the DALI network for control.
Simply connect the LED driver DALI to the LED fixture and pair it to a compatible DALI wall panel. This makes LED lighting effortless to control, without the need for two bulky units which can result in an untidy installation.

How A DALI Driver Works
A DALI driver is an LED power supply with built in DALI (digital addressable lighting interface) compatibility. The driver converts 240V mains electricity to the output voltage specified. When using low voltage products the power supplied must match the voltage of the lighting attached.
As a DALI power supply is directly compatible with the protocol it will accept a DALI input. This allows the DALI controller to communicate with the driver and send low voltage control signals. These control signals are then received by the driver which then alters its PWM output. This allows the driver to both dim and colour change low voltage lighting without the need for a separate dimmer.
DALI lighting systems are often a first choice for centralised lighting control in large scale installations.
