High Lumen LED Strip Lighting

LED strip is used in a variety of ways both as practical lighting and feature lighting. Certain projects require a high lumen light source and therefore require a bright enough LED strip. Here at LED technologies we keep stock of a range of high powered LED strips. These LED strips operate at a high wattage to produce a larger amount of light per metre.

High Lumen LED strips are often used as the primary source of light in a room to replace downlighters. These strips can be recessed and suspended using an LED profile to create a professional finish.

As a company we keep a variety of High Lumen LED strips suitable for a range of installations. This range includes high CRI, High-Density LED and both single colour and colour changing strips. Shop our selection of High brightness LED strip lighting today and find the right product for your lighting installation.

Installing High Lumen LED Strip

High Lumen LED strip operates at a higher wattage and consequently produces more heat than a standard strip. To prevent high powered LED tapes from overheating they must be installed within an LED profile for heat dissipation.

When installing an LED strip within a profile it is important to avoid excess strain on the strip to prevent any damage. This can be done by using a dry cloth or sponge to press the strip in place to reduce pressure when installing.

High wattage LED strip requires a power supply capable of supplying the power required. To calculate the size of the driver needed the total wattage of the LED strip must be calculated. This can be done by multiplying the total length of the strip by the wattage per metre. All LED drivers should be run at no more than 75% of its capacity to prevent overheating.
