07 Assembly & Technical Guide

From Cut
to Connection.

Four clear steps for a neat solderless clip connection. Prepare carefully, align the contacts and test before the strip goes into its final position.

  1. Cutting LED strip at a marked copper cut-point01

    Prepare the Strip

    Switch off the supply. Cut the LED strip squarely at its designated copper cut-points.

  2. Aligning an LED strip with the connector contacts02

    Align the Contacts

    Insert the strip into the correct connector, matching the contact pads and polarity.

  3. Closing the solderless connector with pliers03

    Secure the Connection

    Press the clip cover firmly until secure. Follow the fitting instructions for your connector.

  4. Testing the connected illuminated LED strip04

    Test the Installation

    Check the connection, then restore power and test the strip before final installation.

How Do I Choose the Right Connector?

Match your strip’s PCB width, number of contacts, COB or SMD construction and IP rating. Then choose the connection you need: strip to power, a straight join, a bridge or a corner. Check the selected product’s electrical ratings and dimensions.

Can I Use IP20 Clips Outdoors?

IP20 connectors are for dry indoor installations. For compatible waterproof strips, choose the IP67 range and follow its fitting and sealing instructions, including the required inner and outer strip dimensions.

What Does a Power Distributor Do?

A distributor branches a compatible input into several parallel outputs. It does not replace an LED driver or controller. Match the distributor to the strip’s channel configuration and keep the system within every component’s current and voltage limits.

Will the Clip Fit Inside My LED Profile?

Check the connector’s width and height against the internal clearance of your chosen profile. The compact Beetle range is designed for small profiles, but the exact fit depends on the combination you select.
