A transparent, UV-resistant PVC-60P jacket protects the LEDs while letting their colour shine through.

01What Do I Need to Get Started?

Every installation needs a 50m Flexi Rope roll and the Flexi Rope Starter Set (101.983), which is sold separately. The starter set provides the rectifier cable and essential connection and sealing components needed to power the rope.

Choose plastic clips for shaped or curved routes, or 1m plastic profiles for cleaner straight runs. Add connectors, end caps, heat shrink and silicone glue wherever your layout requires joins or sealed ends.

03Can I Connect Two 50m Rolls?

Yes. One Starter Set can power a maximum continuous run of 100m, made from two 50m rolls. Join the rolls using the specified 2-pin connectors and complete the joint with the correct sealing components.

Do not extend the run beyond 100m from a single Starter Set. For a larger project, divide the design into separately powered runs.

05Can I Cut the Rope to Length?

Yes, but only at the clearly marked 1m cutting intervals. Disconnect the supply before cutting and never cut between the marked points, as this can damage the lighting circuit.

Finish every cut end with the specified end cap and sealing materials before the rope is powered or installed.

07What Is the Power Consumption?

Flexi Rope uses 3W per metre, so a complete 50m roll uses 150W. It operates from a 220–240V AC supply through the required Starter Set.

Work out the total run length before installation and keep each Starter Set within the stated 100m maximum run.

02Is the Starter Set Included With the Rope?

No. The rope light and Starter Set are separate products. The rope cannot connect directly to the mains supply: the starter cable contains the bridge rectifier that converts the incoming AC supply to the DC voltage required by the LEDs.

Allow for at least one Starter Set when planning a new installation, along with the mounting and sealing accessories needed for the route.

04Can Flexi Rope Be Used Outdoors?

Yes. Flexi Rope has a UV-resistant transparent PVC jacket and is rated IP65 when every connection, join and cut end is assembled and sealed correctly.

IP65 is suitable for exposed indoor and outdoor installations, but it does not make the product suitable for immersion. Follow the installation instructions carefully wherever moisture may reach the run.

06How Should I Mount and Shape the Rope?

Use plastic mounting clips where the route needs to follow curves, edges or changing surfaces. Use the 1m plastic profiles where a straighter, more controlled line of light is required.

Avoid sharp folds, twisting or forcing the rope around tight corners. Observe the manufacturer’s 60mm bend specification and plan gradual changes in direction.

08Which Colour Should I Choose?

Warm White (2800–3300K) creates a softer, more relaxed effect, while Cool White (6000–6500K) gives architectural lines a cleaner, brighter appearance.

The saturated colour options work well for hospitality, events, displays and feature lighting. UV 395nm is designed for specialist ultraviolet effects. All options are supplied as 50m rolls.
