These blue colour-coded solder sleeves are designed for cable sizes between 16–14AWG (1.5mm²–2.5mm²). Supplied in a convenient bag of 100, they provide a fast, reliable way to create strong soldered cable joints using only a heat gun. 

Each solder sleeve contains a built-in solder ring and heat shrink tubing with adhesive lining, allowing you to complete secure, insulated connections in under a minute without the need for a soldering iron.

What Are Solder Sleeves?

Solder sleeves (also known as solder and seal wire connectors) are heat shrink connectors with an integrated solder ring. They combine soldering and insulation in one step, creating a sealed, professional-grade electrical connection. 

Colour coded for easy identification, these connectors simplify cable joining while improving consistency and reliability.

How to Use Solder Sleeves for Cable Connections

Step 1 – Prepare the cable ends 

Strip back the insulation from each of the two cables you want to join. 

Step 2 – Position 

Slide the solder sleeve over one of the cables before joining. 

Step 3 – Make the connection 

Twist the conductors together or align them side by side. 

Step 4 – Apply heat 

Slide the solder sleeve over the joint, ensuring the solder ring is positioned over the conductors, then apply heat using a heat gun. 

As heat is applied: 

  • The solder ring melts to form a permanent electrical bond  

  • The heat shrink tubing contracts  

  • The adhesive lining seals around the insulation  

This creates a strong, water-resistant connection in seconds.
