Where Can I Use An IP65 Waterproof LED Strip
IP65 LED strips are splash resistant and can be exposed to water droplets for short periods of time. These products are not fully waterproof and cannot be exposed to water for prolonged periods of time. IP65 products are used frequently in dry installations as they are generally more robust because of the gel coating.
For outdoor installations, an LED strip with an IP rating of 67 or above would be necessary to prevent water ingress. Where an IP65 coating covers the front of a strip, IP67 products feature a silicone coating that completely surrounds the strip.
